MY Story

My name is Viktória Bán, I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, and I’ve never been more interested in anything else than visual arts. When I was a teenager I had a kind of special taste in fashion that I couldn’t really satisfy with the ready-made options at that time, so at 16 I decided to take the matters into my own hands. I was told by my mom that from then on that I would legally be employed by student job agencies, I had to make my own money for my favourite summer festival that year, so it seemed like everything came together for me to start my own brand. I kind of always knew that I wanted to be self-employed, but when I bought my first fabric paints and blank t-shirts I had no idea how much I will love this whole thing and how long it’ll last. After the first successful 2 months of working I made enough money for the festival, but after that I felt like I didn't want to leave it all just because “the goal was met”. I enjoyed every bit of it so I decided to go on and take it much more seriously. And now this was almost a decade ago and here I am, still doing what I love, and I couldn’t be more thankful to my day one supporters and customers who loved my ideas and believed in me from the very beginning.

MY VISION

Since I started my brand at a really young age, obviously as the years passed, I and therefore my vision has changed and evolved significantly. Nevertheless the cornerstones of my concept as a designer stayed rock solid, such as making designs that I personally enjoy looking at, keeping my pieces affordable or staying a small, local brand that everyone can see the face of. I want my customers to feel like they know who made their clothes rather than acting like a mysterious artist behind the scenes. I wholeheartedly believe in personal connections so I always encourage everyone to feel free to give feedback or even complaints about anything I give my name to. Recently I took a deeper dive in the Holy Bible, so in case you were wondering whether some of my designs are based on the Scripture or not, I can assure you that some definitely are.;) It’s a serious question and challenge for me lately that how can one make Bible related artworks without being pushy, worn out or simply tasteless.
